JUNGLE DATING INC. (hereinafter referred to as "JD" or "we") believes that the protection of personal information is of paramount importance. It is for this reason that we have put in place this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") with the objective of protecting your integrity and your right to disclose or not disclose your personal information.
This Policy sets out the manner in which JD collects, uses, discloses, processes and protects your personal information. All personal information is collected in a fair and non-intrusive manner and with your consent. The personal information collected is accessible only to persons necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is collected. JD is committed to respecting the personal information of its users, employees, applicants, and all visitors to its Website who voluntarily choose to transmit personal information to us. We are aware of the importance of providing adequate protection and management of the personal information you communicate to us. This Policy will serve as your guide to understand what kind of information we collect, how it will be used and to whom it may be disclosed.
This Policy explains JD's practices regarding information collected from its users through its Website.
In Canada, the "Principles of Fairness in the Processing of Information" regarding personal information are contained in a series of 10 principles developed by the Canadian Standards Association and enshrined in Canadian personal information protection legislation PIPEDA. JD must identify, before or at the time of collection, the purposes for which personal information is collected. Some of the purposes for which personal information is collected, used and/or disclosed are described in this Policy. In the event that we wish to collect, use and/or disclose personal information for purposes other than those contained in this Policy, JD commits to obtaining your consent.
JD commits to obtaining your informed consent for the collection, use or disclosure of your personal information, except in cases provided for by law.
JD will limit the collection of personal information, both with regard to the nature and quantity of information, to what is necessary to meet the purposes identified by JD. JD will collect your personal information in a fair manner and in compliance with laws, and not in a deceptive manner or by misleading you as to the purposes for which we collect your personal information.
JD will not use or disclose your personal information for purposes other than those identified and for which it was collected, unless prior consent has been obtained or unless permitted or required by law. JD will retain your personal information only for the period necessary to meet the purposes for which your personal information was collected.
Furthermore, our retention periods may be modified from time to time due to legitimate interests (for example, to ensure the security of personal information, to prevent abuse and violations, or to prosecute criminals).
Please also be assured that when the purpose for which information was collected has been fulfilled, we proceed with the destruction or anonymization of that information, in accordance with the law.
JD will strive to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete, current and necessary for the purposes for which we collected it.

JD will make available to you all information regarding our policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.
Subject to certain exceptions, JD commits, upon written request to our PO, to inform you of the existence, use and disclosure of your personal information and to give you access to that information. An individual must be able to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the information we hold and must have the opportunity to have that information corrected as needed.
You have the right to address a complaint to our PO regarding our compliance with this Policy.
2.1 This Policy applies to all information collected by and on behalf of JD, whether collected in writing, verbally or electronically or through any website operated by or on behalf of JD. By browsing the Website, or by transacting with JD, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information in accordance with the purposes described herein.
2.2 By submitting personal information to JD and/or by browsing and using the website, you consent to JD being able to collect, use and disclose such personal information in accordance with this policy and subject to the conditions and terms permitted or required by law.
In addition to consenting to the terms and conditions of this Policy, including any relevant supplementary policy, you consent to JD sharing your personal information that you have provided to us in accordance with the conditions and terms set out herein.
4.1 "Personal information" means any information relating to the personal or material situation of an identified or identifiable individual. An identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to one or more specific elements specific to their physical, physiological, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity.
4.2 The concept of personal information includes, but is not limited to: first and last name, home address, home phone number, mobile phone number, email address and information about a person's employment, as may be found in a resume, information obtained during a background check or references from previous employers.
4.3 "Non-personal information" means any information in the public domain. Professional information is considered non-personal information and therefore not subject to special protection and may be regularly shared with persons both inside and outside of JD. Professional information includes, but is not limited to: company name, address, email address, business phone number and is not considered personal information in some jurisdictions.
4.4 "Sensitive personal information" means personal information which, by its nature or due to the context of its use or disclosure, gives rise to a high degree of reasonable expectation of privacy. Given the nature of its services, JD treats all personal information of its users as sensitive personal information. For this reason, this personal information, in addition to being encrypted, is purged from our databases at the end of your subscription, with the exception of technical information aimed at avoiding duplication of user accounts.
4.5 In the course of our activities, we may collect, process and use different types of personal information that you provide to us only if the law permits, including the information listed below:
- contact details, such as your first and last name, email address, phone number, to subscribe to our newsletter;
- contact details, such as your first and last name, email address, job title, to register for our events;
- information about your intimate relationship preferences such as your sexual orientation, sexual practices, the type of people you wish to meet, including their gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity or ethnic background, height, weight, consumption habits (alcohol, tobacco, marijuana), family situation, social status, sexual practices, meeting goals, geographical location or distance from your geographical location, administrative region, etc. in order to identify JD users you may wish to meet;
- information about yourself such as your sexual orientation, sexual practices, gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity or ethnic background, height, weight, consumption habits (alcohol, tobacco, marijuana), family situation, social status, sexual practices, meeting goals, geographical location or distance from your geographical location, administrative region, photos of you, etc. to allow other JD users to determine whether you match the type of person they wish to meet;
- photos showing your participation in public events and parties organized as part of JD's activities and intended to be displayed on the portion of the Site accessible to visitors;
- contact details, such as your first and last name, your email, your phone number, your university, your subjects of interest, your eligibility to complete the internship, your CV and your cover letter, to submit an unsolicited application to us; and
- contact details, such as your first and last name, your email address, your phone number, the subject of your request and any other information you voluntarily submit to us when you use the "Contact us" section.
5.1 Cookies – in addition to personal information, we may use information collection tools such as cookies on certain pages of our Website or on our Newsletter. Cookies are information that a website sends to an internet user's hard drive when they visit a web page. Cookies allow the site to remember important information that will make your visit to the site more useful. We use cookies to improve your subsequent visits. If you do not wish to receive cookies, or if you wish to configure your browser to warn you each time a cookie is sent, or if you wish to disable all cookies, use the Manage my cookie files section and/or your browser options to do so. The IP address of your connection may also be used to provide you with information based on where you are browsing the Website. We use this data to ensure compliance with the Website's terms of use.
5.6 Browsing information – is used to measure the interest and use made by internet users of certain parts of our Website as well as the effectiveness of certain promotional programs administered by or on behalf of JD. This information cannot identify you; it is rather statistical data regarding the length of the visit, pages viewed, the order in which pages were visited. JD performs statistical analysis of this browsing information to establish internet user profiles and determine their behaviors and characteristics. JD may share this information with third parties; however, none of this information allows you to be identified or to determine anything personal about you.
6.1 We use your personal information to facilitate the processing of requests you submit to us. We have taken care to design a tailor-made Privacy Policy in order to be able to properly inform you of the use we make of your personal information.

- allow you to search to identify JD users you wish to meet and to communicate with them;
- allow other JD users to determine whether they wish to meet you and to communicate with you;
- allow you to subscribe to our newsletters;

- to comply with our obligations under applicable laws and regulations;

6.4 JD commits not to use any personal information collected pursuant to this Policy or pursuant to any other law or regulation, for any other purpose whatsoever unless prior consent has been obtained, except in certain exceptional circumstances where JD reasonably and in good faith believes the law requires it.
7.1 JD does not sell, transfer or assign any personal information to third parties. However, we may share personal information with our service providers, some of whom are located outside Quebec but within Canada, or in Europe, our consultants or our subsidiaries for our internal business needs. Except as described in this Policy, JD will not disclose any personal information to third parties, unless requested by the user, with the user's consent to such disclosure, or unless such disclosure is necessary or authorized by law.
7.2 We may share your personal information with our agents, subsidiaries or service providers who act for or on behalf of JD in the context of JD's business, or any person who processes the data in accordance with the purposes for which it was obtained (such as the maintenance of our secure databases). When we disclose your personal information to service providers, we enter into written contracts with them before your personal information is disclosed to them and we only provide them with the personal information necessary to carry out their mandate. As part of these contracts with our service providers, we ensure that the principles set out in this Policy are respected, and these service providers are required to use personal information in accordance with our instructions and only for the purposes for which it was provided. In addition, these service providers provide us with sufficient guarantees regarding the implementation of adequate protection measures that are proportional to the sensitivity of the personal information processed or disclosed. 7.3 The personal information you provide to JD is considered a corporate asset and may be disclosed or transferred to a third party in the event of a sale (proposed or completed), lease, merger, or any other type of acquisition, sale, financing of all or part of JD or any business asset or any shares of JD or one of its divisions, without however affecting the products or services rendered to users by the third party.
7.4 Although we make reasonable efforts to preserve the confidentiality of personal information, JD reserves the right to disclose personal information to a third party in certain specific circumstances, including: to respond to requests from public and government authorities, to comply with law, regulation, search warrant, subpoena, judicial proceeding, court order or as otherwise required by law, for the enforcement of our policies or contracts, in debt collection, to protect users of our sites from fraudulent or abusive use, in emergencies where security is compromised, as determined by JD or otherwise when necessary to establish, exercise or defend against any legal proceedings. In addition, from time to time, our server usage reports may be reviewed for security reasons; for example, to detect any unauthorized activity on our Website. In such case, the data found on the servers, including IP addresses, would be shared with authorities so they can identify users in connection with an investigation into unauthorized activities.

- You have the right to ask us to stop distributing your personal information and to de-index any link attached to your name that gives access to that information if such distribution violates the law or a court order; and
- You have the right to file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information, subject to the conditions provided by applicable law.
In order to process your request, you may be asked to provide appropriate identification or to identify yourself in another way.
Please note that our Website may contain links to other websites not affiliated with JD. JD has no control over these websites or their privacy practices, which may differ from those of our Website. This Policy cannot apply and does not apply to an external website. We do not endorse or make any representation regarding third-party websites. Personal information you choose to give to third parties is not covered by this Policy. We encourage you to consult the privacy policy of any company or website before submitting personal information to it. Third parties may choose to share the personal information they hold with JD; such sharing is subject to the privacy policy of that third party.
In the course of our activities, it is unlikely, but not impossible, that in certain circumstances we may need to collect personal information considered sensitive in nature, when strictly necessary for our operations. In such case, we ensure that we have your explicit consent to do so, in accordance with the Law.
JD commits to taking all reasonable means to ensure a level of confidentiality and security of personal information consistent with adequate technological standards given its sector of activity.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, you acknowledge and understand that no computer system offers absolute security and that some degree of risk is always present when transmitting personal information over the public Internet network.
You therefore accept that JD cannot be held responsible for any breach of confidentiality, hacking, viruses, loss, theft, misuse or alteration of personal information transmitted or hosted on its systems or those of a third party. You also declare that you waive any claim in this regard, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional fault on the part of JD. Consequently, you agree to release JD and its officers, directors, affiliated persons and business partners from any liability for any damage of any nature whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, incidental, special or consequential in connection with the use of your personal information.
JD's services are only intended for adults. By using JD's services, you certify that you are of legal age according to the legislative provisions applicable to your place of domicile or the place from which you access the Site.
We do not knowingly collect or use personal information from minors. If you are a minor, you should not provide us with your information. If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your minor child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the contact details provided in article 13 above to request that we delete that child's personal information from our systems.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of May 5, 2025. JD reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at its discretion. When JD makes changes to this Privacy Policy, we will also change the "Last updated" date found at the top of the Privacy Policy. JD encourages you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to be informed about how it protects your information and to be notified of any changes to the Privacy Policy. Your use of the Website after the posting of an amended version of the Privacy Policy constitutes your consent to be subject to those changes. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into all Terms governing the various websites and all programs and services used or managed for or on behalf of JD. Any changes to this Privacy Policy are effective immediately after being posted online by JD.
The terms governing your use of this Website are found at https://jungledating.com/terms-conditions (the "Terms") and contain important provisions that declare and exclude JD's liability with respect to your use of our Website. The Terms also contain provisions determining the applicable law and exclusive jurisdiction for the resolution of any dispute regarding your use of this Website. All of these provisions apply to any disputes that may arise in connection with the Privacy Policy and the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. These Terms have the same effect as if they had been reproduced in full in this Privacy Policy.
